£26m Bundesliga star asks club executives to hold talks as 'concrete offer' arrives from Wolves

Wolves appear to be leading West Ham United in the pursuit of attacking midfielder Amine Adli from Bayer Leverkusen. Fans are urging the club to accelerate transfer activity with the new season starting in three weeks, as the squad currently only features two new signings (Fer Lopez and Jhon Arias) and arguably needs around four more additions.

Key positions requiring reinforcement include a central midfielder (following loan departures of Tommy Doyle and Boubacar Traore), another versatile forward or striker, and wing-backs for both sides, though Ki-Jana Hoever is impressing in pre-season. According to Sport Bild, Wolves have submitted a concrete offer for Adli, who has asked Leverkusen to negotiate as he seeks a Premier League move. Leverkusen is reportedly seeking up to £26 million (including bonuses), but would not block a move for the right price. Wolves, who were previously linked with a £23 million move, hope to sign him for less than £26 million, a range where they've found recent success.

Adli, primarily an attacking midfielder for Leverkusen, is seen as someone who can increase competition in Wolves' forward areas. Described as versatile, he can play on either wing, as a number 8, number 10, or centre forward, but is best suited to positions behind the striker. Potentially, manager Vitor Pereira might consider him for the inside left forward role previously occupied by Matheus Cunha.
