350! Harper becomes youngest active player to home run milestone

In a 9-8 extra-inning loss to the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies stars Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber hit consecutive home runs in the first inning. Schwarber launched a two-run homer off Lucas Giolito's 2-0 changeup into the right-field stands, marking his 34th home run of the season.

Harper immediately followed by crushing a first-pitch fastball deep to right field for his 350th career home run. This milestone makes him the youngest active player (age 32) to reach 350 homers and places him among only eight active players with that achievement, alongside Giancarlo Stanton (434), Mike Trout (395), Paul Goldschmidt (370), Manny Machado (360), Freddie Freeman (353), Nolan Arenado and Aaron Judge (both 351). Harper expressed excitement about the accomplishment, calling it "pretty awesome."

Harper's historic homer registered a 110.8 mph exit velocity and traveled a projected 439 feet, both representing his season bests. Schwarber continues to rank among baseball's elite hitters with a .940 OPS (fifth-best in MLB), while Harper is batting .400 with nine doubles, five homers, eight RBIs and a 1.467 OPS over his last 10 games.
