Aces’ road trip continues against 2025 No. 1 WNBA pick, Wings

The Las Vegas Aces, aiming to recover from consecutive losses, face the Dallas Wings on Sunday at 1 p.m. at College Park Center in Dallas. The game will be broadcast on KMCC-34 TV, streamed on ESPN3, and aired on KWWN radio (1100 AM, 100.9 FM).

With a record of 12-13, the Aces have only one day to regroup after back-to-back defeats during their four-game road trip. Their recent three-game win streak was ended by an 80-70 loss to the Indiana Fever on Thursday. Less than 24 hours later, they suffered their worst loss of the season, 109-78, against the Minnesota Lynx.

Leading scorers for the Aces are reigning MVP A’ja Wilson (22.3 points per game) and Jackie Young (16.8 ppg). Wilson also leads the team in rebounds (9.1 per game, second in WNBA), steals (1.6 per game), and blocks (2.3 per game, No. 1 in WNBA). Point guard Chelsea Gray is averaging a career-low 4.5 assists per game since 2016, including a game with zero assists against the Lynx.

The team is struggling offensively, ranking third-worst in the WNBA in both 3-point shooting percentage (31.9%) and field goal percentage (41.5%). Guard Jewell Loyd recorded a new low of zero points against Minnesota, her sixth game this season scoring five or fewer points.

When asked about rebounding with minimal recovery time, Coach Becky Hammon described her approach: "You get up the next day, and you go to work. You keep teaching, you keep coaching, and you keep encouraging and you keep trying to will them there... You correct them and you love on them hard, and you just keep at it."
