Allen Lazard Sliding down depth chart?

New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard faces an uncertain future after agreeing to a significant pay cut this offseason, reducing his base salary from $11 million to $2.5 million. This follows two mostly disappointing seasons under his three-year contract. ESPN's Mike Reiss reports that Lazard has "fallen back in the receiver pecking order," with Josh Reynolds now viewed as "the clear-cut leader" for the Jets' No. 2 wide receiver spot. While Lazard could still compete for the role, he is also considered a candidate to be released if he doesn't perform well this summer.

Jets quarterback Justin Fields suffered a dislocated toe in his right foot during Thursday's practice, as diagnosed by a medical evaluation and reported by Ian Rapoport and others. The Jets are treating him as day-to-day. Coach Aaron Glenn confirmed Fields is "day to day" and won't be rushed back. Fields was present but limited in Friday's practice, with Tyrod Taylor taking the first QB rep in team drills. By Monday, Fields had returned to participating in 11-on-11 drills, though Glenn noted he remained limited to a degree during team activities.
