Angel Reese Bracing for WNBA Suspension After Sky-Lynx on Tuesday

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese, returning from a leg injury that sidelined her since July 14, struggled with her team in Tuesday's 91-68 loss to the Minnesota Lynx. Despite recording her 16th double-double of the season (11 points, 11 rebounds), Reese committed nine turnovers in the Sky's first game in nearly a week.

Reese received her seventh technical foul of the season at 2:42 in the first quarter while Chicago held a 16-12 lead. Per WNBA rules and Underdog WNBA's report, this places her one technical away from an automatic one-game suspension—her eighth technical would trigger the penalty.

Notably, Reese leads the WNBA in both rebounds and technical fouls this season. Her seven technicals are two more than Washington Mystics' Shakira Austin (five), with only Atlanta's Allisha Gray also exceeding two technicals league-wide.

The WNBA's suspension policy stipulates that an eighth technical foul during the regular season results in a mandatory one-game suspension without pay. Each subsequent pair of technicals (e.g., 10th, 12th) incurs an additional game suspension.
