Antony to Al-Nassr: Saudi giants respond to Man United’s demands

Manchester United have failed to generate any funds from player sales so far this summer, despite spending over £130 million, including £71 million on Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. After missing European football, the club expected sales to fund manager Ruben Amorim's rebuild but has struggled to offload unwanted players.

Marcus Rashford departed only on loan to Barcelona, while Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, and Antony remain in limbo regarding their futures. Antony, following a productive loan at Real Betis, has attracted significant interest. Though Betis wants to keep him, they are reluctant to meet United's valuation.

Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr is reportedly preparing a substantial offer close to United's £50 million asking price for Antony. Brazilian clubs Botafogo and São Paulo have also approached the winger, but the 25-year-old Antony feels it's not the right time to return to Brazil. While preferring to stay in Europe, his agent confirms he is open to a move to Saudi Arabia.

A major sale, such as Antony's potential transfer, could provide the funds needed for Ineos and Amorim to pursue top striker target Benjamin Sesko this summer.
