Rain or Shine guard Ryan Arana sustained an injury described as "nothing serious," but he is likely to miss some games in the PLDT myDSL-PBA Philippine Cup Finals. Tests revealed Arana suffered a sprained ligament on his shoulder.
The injury occurred during Game Two of the title series on Sunday night when Arana collided with San Mig's Rafi Reavis while trying to fight off a pick. He was taken to the hospital at halftime after hurting his collar bone in the first-quarter collision.
Edison Oribiana, the team's alternate governor, confirmed the diagnosis on Monday. While not serious, he substantiated coach Yeng Guiao's fears that Arana could be doubtful for Game Three on Wednesday. Oribiana stated Arana might miss some games depending on his pain threshold, and his condition is being monitored day to day.
Arana played only nine minutes in Game Two, held scoreless, before his injury. Rain or Shine lost the game 80-70, tying the best-of-seven series at 1-1.
