The Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche are beginning their new seasons with updated food menus and nostalgic merchandise at Ball Arena, as announced by Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, the owner of the teams and venue. This includes new food pricing, diverse options, and vendors, alongside throwback team items in the team store.
Jim Mulvihill of Kroenke Sports highlighted the enthusiasm surrounding the teams' expected success, which has boosted merchandise sales at Altitude Authentics. The Denver Nuggets plan to re-release their popular black city skyline jerseys on November 11, following a previous rapid sell-out, while the Colorado Avalanche's throwback Quebec Nordiques jersey sold out online in just 15 minutes, reflecting appreciation for the franchise's history.
Ball Arena is implementing fan-friendly pricing on concessions such as hot dogs, popcorn, and select beers, with prices ranging from $5 to $10. Several local eateries, including Big Belly Brothers BBQ, are opening locations in the arena for the new seasons, aiming to pair quality food with the teams' championship aspirations.
Jared Andrews, owner of Big Belly Brothers BBQ, shared the inspiration behind his business, which started from family recipes and a passion for smoking meats. Originally a food truck, the company has expanded to include multiple trucks, a restaurant, and two stands in Ball Arena. Andrews emphasized the meticulous cooking process, such as smoking meats for up to 15 hours, to create their flavors.
