Barcelona carry out technical and operational tests at Camp Nou facilities

Barcelona is working urgently to prepare Camp Nou for reopening by September, facing challenges particularly with obtaining regulatory approvals for essential safety measures. The Barcelona city mayor recently emphasized that rules apply equally to everyone, including the club.

In an effort to accelerate the process, the club reportedly conducted a technical and operational test at Camp Nou on Monday, specifically in the Grandstand and South Goal areas. The test involved collaboration across multiple club departments: Security and Operations, Maintenance, Facility Management, Food & Beverage, and IT.

The primary objective of this test was to evaluate and validate a wide array of systems and infrastructure. This included testing lighting, public address systems, fire safety mechanisms, evacuation procedures, accessibility features, and signage.

This simulation forms part of the broader Espai Barça project roadmap. Its purpose is to ensure all stadium systems comply with local regulations and operational standards. Meeting these standards is crucial for Barcelona's aim to return to playing at Camp Nou at the start of the next season.
