Bayern Munich legend claims Florian Wirtz would be 'better off' at Bundesliga club than at Liverpool

Bayern Munich legend and board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has expressed that he believes Florian Wirtz would have been better off joining Bayern Munich instead of Liverpool. This opinion was shared in response to questions about Bayern missing out on several attacking targets during the recent transfer window.

Florian Wirtz transferred to Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen this summer on a five-year contract, with a reported fee of €136.3 million. Despite the high expectations accompanying his arrival, Wirtz has struggled to make an impact in his early appearances for Liverpool. He has played in seven matches, starting six, and has recorded only one assist so far.

Wirtz's limited contributions have led to criticism, and his position in the team has been questioned after he was benched for Liverpool's last Premier League game and left out of the Carabao Cup squad. Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has advised patience, urging fans to allow Wirtz time to adapt, while Wirtz himself has acknowledged his slow start and stated his intention to improve with each game.
