Bills observations: Connection between Josh Allen, Joshua Palmer growing by the day

During a Buffalo Bills training camp practice at St. John Fisher University, quarterback Josh Allen threw a perfectly lofted pass that wide receiver Joshua Palmer caught with an over-the-shoulder catch along the left sideline, despite seemingly tight coverage from Cam Lewis. While Allen has existing chemistry with Shakir, Coleman, and Kincaid, Moore is noted for his nuanced route-running in short and intermediate areas, whereas Palmer is expected to be used for downfield attacks. These deep throws require a deeper understanding between Allen and Palmer, building on Palmer's average of at least 15 yards per reception over his last two seasons with the Chargers.

Additionally, cornerback Tre'Davious White is back with the team after past injuries and a release in 2024, showing visible joy during practices at St. John Fisher. Palmer expressed excitement about being part of the Bills, citing Allen's leadership, resilience after bad plays, and enthusiasm for good plays.

On the injury front, Spencer Brown started camp on the active/physically unable to perform list due to a back injury, leading Tylan Grable to take first-team reps at right tackle. Edge rusher A.J. Epenesa (ankle), linebacker Dorian Williams (calf), and wide receiver David White Jr. (excused for personal reasons) missed practice, with Epenesa and Williams sustaining their injuries on Thursday; Williams was seen in a walking boot on his right leg.
