Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in re-signing defender Maxence Lacroix and bringing him back to the Bundesliga. Lacroix joined Crystal Palace last year to reunite with his former Wolfsburg head coach, Oliver Glasner, and has performed well in London.
Despite Lacroix's success at Palace, the club has received numerous inquiries about his availability from both English and foreign clubs. Tottenham Hotspur and several Italian teams are also noted as potential suitors for the 25-year-old. Crystal Palace, who paid €18 million for him last summer, may consider a quick sale, especially as his current market value is estimated at €25 million. However, it remains uncertain whether Lacroix himself wants to leave a club where he holds a significant role.
Lacroix featured in 44 matches across all competitions for Palace under Glasner last season. Dortmund's interest is partly driven by their current situation in central defense, where they could offer him regular playing time and the opportunity to participate in the Champions League – a competition he hasn't played in since making six appearances for Wolfsburg during the 2021/22 campaign.
