The CAF Women's Champions League | COSAFA Qualifier 2025 will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, from August 22-31. Matches will take place exclusively at the University of Johannesburg's AW Muller Stadium, with only the top team advancing to the continental finals.

Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa) hold a remarkable record in the qualifier, having never lost a match in regulation time across 13 games (11 wins, 2 draws). They scored 52 goals and conceded only 4. Their only defeat came via penalties in the 2022 final. Sundowns are also two-time continental champions (2021, 2023) and two-time qualifier winners (2021, 2023). They hold the record for the biggest win (8-0 vs Olympic de Moroni in 2023) and did not participate in the 2024 qualifier as defending African champions.

Past Player of the Tournament winners include Rutendo Makore (2021), Melinda Kgadiete (2022), Lesego Radiokanyo (2023), and Keitumetse Sithebe (2024). Kgadiete is also the all-time leading scorer in the qualifier with 8 goals and was the top scorer in the inaugural 2021 edition with 5 goals, a feat matched by Ireen Lungu (Green Buffaloes) in 2022.

Green Buffaloes (Zambia) won the 2022 qualifier and are the only club to appear in all four previous editions. Double Action Ladies (Botswana) and Mamelodi Sundowns have each appeared three times. Only three COSAFA clubs have qualified for the continental finals: Mamelodi Sundowns (2021-2024), Green Buffaloes (2022), and University of the Western Cape (2024).

Jerry Tshabalala is the most successful coach in the qualifier, winning it twice and taking a silver medal with Mamelodi Sundowns. He now coaches Sporting Club Casablanca in Morocco.

This will be the fifth edition of the qualifier. Sixteen clubs from ten different countries participated in the first four editions. The 2024 edition featured 39 goals in 15 matches, averaging 2.6 goals per game. The previous three qualifiers were held in Durban.
