The West Africa Football Union B (WAFU B) Zonal Executive Committee has postponed the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers. Originally scheduled for August 9, the tournament will now take place from August 23 to September 4, 2025, in Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire.
According to the WAFU B secretariat, the delay is necessary to allow organizers to finalize "critical organizational arrangements." The date for the group stage draw will be announced very soon.
Seven clubs will participate in the qualifiers: Nigeria's Bayelsa Queens, Ivory Coast's ASEC Mimosas, Niger's AS Garde Nationale du Niger, Burkina Faso's USFA, Togo's ASKO, Benin's Sam Nelly, and Ghana's Police Ladies.
In contrast, the WAFU A zonal qualifiers are proceeding as planned and will be held from August 5 to 17 in Senegal, featuring five nations.
