Following the conclusion of the 2025 WNBA season, there was significant speculation about whether Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark would participate in Unrivaled, a new 3x3 basketball league. Clark, who had just completed a standout rookie year—winning the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year award and finishing fourth in MVP voting—ultimately decided not to join the league, which was founded by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier and held in Miami during the first three months of 2025.
Reports indicate Clark turned down a seven-figure offer to play in Unrivaled, which lasted approximately 10 weeks. More notably, she also declined an even larger offer from another 3x3 league, the BIG3, founded by rapper and actor Ice Cube. According to Tattoo, known as "The Voice" of BIG3, the league initially offered Clark $5 million in April 2024 but later increased the offer to $15 million for a 10-week season.
Clark's decision to decline these offers was influenced by scheduling conflicts, as the BIG3 season overlaps with the WNBA season, creating a potential conflict of interest during her rookie year. Despite the significant financial incentives, her choice not to participate was seen as reasonable given her professional commitments. There remains hope that she may consider joining Unrivaled for its second season in 2026.
