Cam Spencer, Grizzlies Agree to Restructured Free Agency Deal

The Memphis Grizzlies and second-year guard Cam Spencer initially agreed to a two-year, $4.5 million fully guaranteed contract last month, following his strong performance on a two-way contract during his rookie season. This agreement was reported by ESPN's Shams Charania but was never officially announced by the franchise.

The Grizzlies and Spencer later renegotiated the terms, resulting in a new four-year, $10.5 million contract. According to Charania, this deal includes three fully guaranteed seasons, granting Spencer an extra year of guaranteed money and the team an option to extend him for a fourth season.

This restructuring may indicate that Spencer is expected to compete for a rotation spot off the bench in the upcoming season. Last season, in 25 games, he averaged 4.2 points, 1.4 assists, and 1.2 rebounds while shooting 41.5% from the field.
