The Cebu Greats are gearing up for a demanding six-game schedule in August during the MPBL Season 25. Currently ranked 25th with a 5-15 record, they seek a successful month.
Their August schedule begins on the 2nd against the 10th-ranked GenSan Warriors in Calasiao. They then face the 26th-ranked Marikina Shoemasters in Pasay on the 7th, followed by the 20th-ranked Pasig City on the 12th in Nueva Ecija. The team plays the 27th-ranked Bulacan Kuyas on the 16th in Lucena. After a break, they return against the 23rd-ranked Valenzuela City Magic on the 23rd, again in Nueva Ecija. Their toughest matchup comes on the 28th in Pasay against the 5th-ranked Zamboanga Sikat.
The team, led by coach Junthy Valenzuela, is coming off a recent loss to Ilagan City but had a prior win over Imus Braderhood. They will continue relying on their veteran core players: JR Quiñahan, Jun Manzo, Mac Tallo (who is also playing for the Manila Melmac 3x3 squad internationally), Lean Martel, Mark Meneses, and Jan Jamon.
