He emphasized that playing in front of the Boston fans is a dream he has envisioned, sharing this plan with his close circle, including his mother and trainer.

Tatum's rapid surgery and his determined rehabilitation efforts have made a potential comeback during the 2025-26 campaign a possibility, though it remains uncertain. The Celtics organization is expected to exercise caution to avoid rushing his return, which could lead to further complications for the team.

The Celtics will begin the new season at home against the Philadelphia 76ers on October 22, but Tatum will not be playing in that game. However, there is optimism that he might return to TD Garden sooner than initially anticipated.
