Chelsea’s stance on Joao Pedro and Liam Delap after shock Harry Kane rumour

Chelsea overhauled their striker options during the summer by signing Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, but they are now unexpectedly linked with a move for Bayern Munich star and former Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane.

As part of the revamp, Nicolas Jackson was allowed to join Bayern Munich, the team that recently defeated Chelsea 3-1 in the Champions League. Despite a contentious departure, Jackson showed respect for Chelsea by embracing two of their coaches before the match.

Chelsea appears satisfied with their summer signings, as reported by TEAMtalk, with Pedro and Delap scoring their first goals for the club in the Club World Cup. Pedro has since netted twice more in London derbies against Fulham and West Ham United.

Pedro's versatility is notable; while he can play as a No. 10, as used by Enzo Maresca in recent wins, former coach Eduardo Oliveira views him as a No. 9. With Cole Palmer injured, Pedro may need to fill the attacking midfielder role more frequently.

Historically, Chelsea has admired Harry Kane, but his strong ties to rivals Tottenham have complicated any potential move. Although TEAMtalk indicates Chelsea remains a long-term admirer and might act if Kane becomes available, a transfer seems unlikely given Kane's success at Bayern, where he is nearing 100 goals and scored twice in the recent victory over Chelsea.
