Wrexham have approached free agent Christian Eriksen regarding a potential transfer. The newly-promoted Championship club has held talks with the Denmark international midfielder.
Eriksen became a free agent this summer following the expiration of his contract with Manchester United. While the 33-year-old is reportedly still favoring a move to a top-flight club, he has been impressed by Wrexham's pitch and ambition during the discussions.
Wrexham, co-owned by Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, has just achieved promotion to the Championship (English football's second tier) for the first time since 1982. The club is actively strengthening its squad with six permanent signings already made as part of its ongoing project to rise from non-league to the Premier League.
During the previous season, Eriksen made 23 Premier League appearances for Manchester United, contributing one goal and two assists.
