Cristiano Ronaldo, aiming for league success in the Saudi Pro League after two trophy-less seasons, has signed a new two-year deal with Al Nassr.
Ronaldo is pushing the club to make new signings to strengthen the squad. The first such signing, facilitated by Ronaldo, is his Portuguese teammate João Félix, who is expected to join from Chelsea for approximately $56 million (€51 million).
Ronaldo also wants Al Nassr to sign another Chelsea player, Spanish left-back Marc Cucurella. Cucurella has had a strong 2024-25 season for Chelsea after initially struggling following his transfer from Brighton.
Chelsea might be open to selling Cucurella despite his importance, as they need to balance their books after significant spending and are also targeting Ajax defender Jorrel Hato, who can play left-back.
Al Nassr, backed by Ronaldo, appear committed to a major push over the next two seasons, with players like Mason Greenwood and Anthony also linked to the club this summer. Further signings are anticipated before the Saudi Pro League season starts at the end of August.
