Cristiano Ronaldo returns to play in Spain

Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Spain to play for Al-Nassr in a preseason friendly against LaLiga club Almería on Sunday, August 10th. The match, marking Almería's official home unveiling, will take place at the Power Horse Stadium at 7:00 p.m. local time. This is Ronaldo's first appearance on a Spanish pitch since playing for Manchester United against Real Sociedad in November 2022.

While Almería defeated Al-Nassr 3-0 in a preseason fixture last summer, Ronaldo did not participate in that game. The upcoming friendly will be Ronaldo's fifth visit to Almería's stadium, where he previously scored four goals during four appearances for Real Madrid. Al-Nassr's squad also features stars Sadio Mané, Marcelo Brozović, and Otávio, coached by Jorge Jesus.

The match occurs nine days before Al-Nassr's Saudi Super Cup semifinal against Al Ittihad on August 19th. Tickets for the friendly go on sale Tuesday. Season ticket holders pay €10, while general admission prices range from €60 (end zone) to €90 (sideline) and €120 (main stand). Premium options include VIP boxes at €250 and honor suite seats at €400. Ronaldo's presence is expected to drive high demand and pack the stadium.
