Done Deal – Argentina Star To Join Genoa On Loan From Inter Milan

Attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni will join Genoa on loan from Inter Milan for the upcoming season. The agreement, a dry loan with no purchase option, has been reached between the clubs. Genoa will also receive a bonus payment potentially reaching €1 million, contingent on Carboni's playing time.

Carboni, currently part of Inter's senior squad, had his previous loan spell at Marseille cut short last season due to an ACL injury suffered in the autumn. He spent much of the season recovering from that injury. Following his recovery, Carboni traveled with Inter to the Club World Cup this summer, where he featured and notably scored a stoppage-time winner against Urawa Red Diamonds.

Inter's priority this summer was finding Carboni a club where he could secure regular playing time. Genoa emerged as the destination, with their coach Patrick Vieira being a strong admirer of the 20-year-old Argentine. Vieira believes Carboni possesses the quality needed to enhance Genoa's attack. Consequently, Genoa pushed for the loan deal, culminating in the agreement with Inter for a season-long dry loan without an option to buy.
