Dubai's basketball team will have a €16 million budget for its inaugural 2025-26 EuroLeague season, as confirmed by General Manager Dejan Kamenjasevic in an interview with BH Basket. This budget ranks as the eleventh largest in the EuroLeague. Kamenjasevic emphasized that Dubai, not higher-budget teams, faces unique challenges, noting their previous season's budget was only €4 million despite strong performance. He stated Dubai is the only team publicly sharing its season budget, which complies with EuroLeague financial regulations.
Beyond competing in the AdmiralBet ABA League, Dubai will face the demanding 38-game EuroLeague Regular Season schedule. Kamenjasevic highlighted the significant travel burden, stating Dubai will be "the team that will travel the most across all sports franchises in the world," spending 23 days in the air and two and a half months away from home during the season.
The roster for head coach Jurica Golemac includes signings Justin Anderson, Aleksa Avramovic, Dwayne Bacon, Mouhammadou Jaiteh, Mfiondu Kabengele, Kenan Kamenjas, Dzanan Musa, and McKinley Wright IV, with Filip Petrusev expected as the final addition. Kamenjasevic outlined the team's goal as being competitive in the EuroLeague, acknowledging it will be much more demanding than the ABA League. He referenced their unexpected success last season and stated their vision for the EuroLeague is long-term, aiming to grow season by season and play to their strengths.
Dubai's first EuroLeague game is scheduled for September 30, where they will host Partizan Mozzart Bet at the Coca-Cola Arena.
