Eintracht Frankfurt sign former Arsenal defender Ilestedt

The Eagles (Eintracht Frankfurt) announced Amanda Ilestedt's signing on their official website this weekend. The 32-year-old defender joins the club on a three-year contract after leaving Arsenal earlier this summer.

Ilestedt joined Arsenal in 2023, making 23 appearances and scoring three goals across all competitions. During her tenure, she helped the club win the 2023/2024 Subway Women’s League Cup and the UEFA Women’s Champions League in May. Off the field, she welcomed her first child while at Arsenal.

Upon joining Eintracht Frankfurt, Ilestedt expressed her delight, stating the club is among Germany's top teams. She emphasized her ambition to win games and titles domestically and in Europe, aiming to contribute with her experience. This move marks her return to German football four years after leaving Bayern Munich.
