The competition to host the 2026 EuroLeague Final Four has narrowed down to two cities: Athens (OAKA) and Belgrade (Belgrade Arena), following Valencia's exit from the initial three-city race.
The EuroLeague Board met today to vote on selecting the host city. However, a final decision was not reached, and the vote has been postponed until September.
Athens, represented by the OAKA arena which last hosted the Final Four in 2007, has actively campaigned for the event. This included personal meetings between EuroLeague President Dejan Bodiroga and both the Mayor of Athens and the governor of the Attica region.
Belgrade, hosting the event at the Belgrade Arena, boasts recent experience, having successfully staged the Final Four in both 2018 (won by Real Madrid) and 2022 (won by Anadolu Efes).
