FC Porto striker Luuk de Jong, who is currently injured, was honored by his former club PSV on Saturday. He traveled to the Netherlands during the weekend, as he was not available for FC Porto's Portuguese Cup match against Celoricense due to his physical issues.
During a festive reception before PSV's Eredivisie game against Go Ahead Eagles, de Jong was inducted into the club's Walk of Fame and had the press room at Philips Stadium named after him. It is now called the 'Luuk de Jong Mediaroom', replacing the previous name associated with Ronaldo.
This recognition was given in acknowledgment of his significant contributions to PSV, where he played 338 games and scored 186 goals. De Jong expressed that he found it hard to put the moment into words during the tribute ceremony.
