Florida Gators QB DJ Lagway Featured on T-Mobile Commercial with Gronk, Mahomes

DJ Lagway, the Florida Gators quarterback, continues to be prominent in national NIL deals. He was recently featured in a T-Mobile "Beyond the Game" commercial alongside NFL star Rob Gronkowski and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The trio discussed the impact of high school football.

In the commercial, Mahomes stated, "High school football is the true spirit of football... It's all about the love of the game." Lagway added, "To see everybody come together as a community, I'd say that's what really stuck out to me. Being able to represent my city and my community."

This T-Mobile deal is Lagway's latest high-profile partnership. His other notable NIL agreements include a partnership with Gatorade, which featured him in a 2024 commercial with professional athletes, and being featured on the cover of EA Sports College Football 26 Deluxe Edition alongside other college football stars.

Beyond endorsements, Lagway has also been a significant donor in the NIL space. He partnered with Florida Victorious, the University of Florida's official NIL partner, to make a six-figure donation to various female sports programs at the university in honor of International Women's Day.

Florida head coach Billy Napier, speaking at SEC Media Days, praised Lagway's ability to handle success while staying focused. Napier highlighted Lagway's humility, how he treats people, and how he embraced his role on the team and in the community during his high school career (where he was Gatorade National Player of the Year) and continued that approach last year as his role grew.

After battling lingering injuries during the offseason, Lagway is expected to be a full participant when Florida's fall camp opens next week. Players report on Tuesday, with the first practice scheduled for Wednesday.
