A two-vehicle collision occurred on the B3178 Knowle Hill in Budleigh Salterton, Devon, at 16:15 BST on Sunday, resulting in injuries to four people.
A 67-year-old woman from Exeter sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. A 62-year-old man, also from Exeter, suffered serious injuries. Additionally, a 79-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman, both from Budleigh Salterton, were treated for minor injuries.
Devon and Cornwall Police reported the crash involved a Citroen C4 and a Peugeot 306. The road was closed for approximately seven hours following the incident. Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
