Gassama move 'done' at Rangers end as Propper nears exit

Russell Martin, Rangers manager, expects Sheffield Wednesday winger Djeidi Gassama to join Rangers soon, stating the deal is "all done at our end" and awaiting completion on Sheffield Wednesday's side. Martin described the 21-year-old Gassama, who has scored 12 goals in 84 appearances for the English Championship club, as "different to what we've got" and emphasized the need for "a point of difference in the squad," expressing hope the transfer concludes "very, very soon."

Martin also confirmed that Rangers have accepted an offer from Dutch club Twente Enschede, his former club, for defender Robin Propper. The 31-year-old Dutchman, who joined Rangers last summer, has struggled for playing time. Martin stated the move now depends on Propper agreeing personal terms, noting that new defensive signings make playing time difficult for him and that a transfer to Twente would be "a good move" if he accepts.

Rangers have been active in the summer transfer window, having already signed midfielders Thelo Aasgaard, Lyall Cameron, and Joe Rothwell, alongside defenders Max Aarons, Nasser Djiga, and Emmanuel Fernandez.
