GdS: Club Brugge have ‘contacted’ Premier League teams to spark Jashari auction

Club Brugge has reportedly contacted Premier League clubs interested in midfielder Ardon Jashari to instigate a bidding war, specifically targeting AC Milan. This move comes despite Milan recently improving their offer for the player.

Contrary to expectations that Jashari was nearing a move to AC Milan (the Rossoneri), Club Brugge has effectively rejected Milan's latest bid, valued at €38 million including bonuses (€33.5 million base), as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport. This rejection creates significant distance from an agreement, dampening optimism about the deal's completion.

According to the report, upon learning of Milan's improved offer, Club Brugge immediately reached out to interested Premier League teams to set up an auction. However, a major complication is that Jashari only desires a move to AC Milan (San Siro) and has previously rejected the idea of joining a Premier League club.

Despite the player's clear preference, Club Brugge is determined to maximize the transfer fee for their star player. The situation now hinges on whether AC Milan will participate in a potential auction or withdraw their offer entirely to pursue other transfer targets.

The Belgian club's auction tactic is likely to further displease Jashari, who is already experiencing low morale as his desired transfer to Milan risks collapsing after weeks of negotiations.
