Golden State Warriors reportedly hold "mutual interest" with sharpshooting veteran

The Golden State Warriors have not made any roster additions this offseason, with management focused on negotiations regarding Jonathan Kuminga's unrestricted free agency. However, ESPN's Anthony Slater reports mutual interest between the Warriors and free agent Seth Curry, who could provide bench shooting. Adding Curry would unite him with his brother Stephen Curry on the team and bolster coach Steve Kerr's second unit with reliable perimeter scoring.

Curry averaged 6.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 68 games for Charlotte last season, but his shooting efficiency stands out: he hit 45.6% from three-point range on 2.7 attempts per game and 50.3% on two-pointers. The Warriors specifically seek additional floor spacing off the bench, and Curry represents a cost-effective option potentially available for a minimum contract.

Despite the mutual interest, other NBA teams may pursue Curry's shooting services, leaving his potential signing with Golden State uncertain. The Warriors must decide whether to formalize their interest and bring him to the Bay Area for the upcoming season.
