I played with Harry Kane and Tottenham's latest academy star 11 years younger who is a 'talent'

Harry Kane faced early skepticism specifically from Tottenham's hierarchy, not his teammates, as he struggled to establish himself before becoming Spurs' and England's record goalscorer. He spent significant time on loan at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich, and Leicester before breaking into Tottenham's first team.

Former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood revealed he was instructed to get rid of Kane during this period but resisted due to his belief in the striker's abilities. This belief was shared by those who trained closely with Kane, like former youth teammate Dominic Ball.

Ball, who played alongside Kane for Tottenham's Under-21s, recalled a specific 2013 match where Kane scored a hat-trick against Manchester City. Ball stated Kane's potential was obvious even in limited training sessions, describing him as incredibly difficult to play against due to his intelligent finishing - placing the ball through defenders' legs or into the top corner. He attributed Kane's rise to world-class status primarily to his exceptional finishing, focus, and unwavering mindset to be the best.

Ball also noted he witnessed another Tottenham youngster, Jamie Donley (on loan at Leyton Orient last season while Ball was there), attempting to follow Kane's exact pathway from loan spells to the Spurs first team.
