Inter Milan Coach Chivu Plays Serie A Title Mind Games: ‘I Agree With Allegri, Napoli Are The Favourites’

Cristian Chivu, the coach of Inter Milan, has expressed agreement with Max Allegri's view that Napoli are the favorites to win the Serie A title, citing their status as reigning champions and their significant summer spending as key reasons.

The Serie A season has commenced with Napoli starting strongly by defeating newly-promoted Sassuolo 2-0, while Roma also secured a win against Bologna. In contrast, AC Milan suffered an unexpected loss to Cremonese. Other teams, including Atalanta, Lazio, Juventus, and Fiorentina, are beginning their campaigns this weekend.

Inter Milan is set to play their first match of the season tomorrow against Torino at the San Siro, marking Chivu's debut in charge for a Serie A campaign as the Nerazzurri's coach.

Chivu described Inter's preseason training as short but intense, noting that the players worked hard and are ready for the season. He admitted that the team is a work in progress, with aims to improve both individually and collectively, and expressed eagerness to get started.
