Kane hits brace as Bayern thump Hamburg again

The match also featured the debut of Nicolas Jackson, who came on at halftime after joining Bayern on loan from Chelsea. Looking ahead, Bayern will open their Champions League campaign at home against Chelsea on Wednesday.

The result highlighted the contrasting trajectories of the two clubs; Bayern have won 12 of the last 13 Bundesliga titles, while Hamburg were recently promoted after seven seasons in the second division. Both clubs, alongside Borussia Dortmund, remain the only German teams to have won the European Cup.
