Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard announced on Instagram, via a post by The Asian Tournament, his plans to tour the continent in 2025. While the initial announcement did not specify exact dates or locations, it indicated that these details would be revealed soon.

Leonard previously toured China for seven days in 2017 while playing for the San Antonio Spurs. During that trip, his purpose, as reported by ESPN, was to support basketball growth in China and coach youth talent at The NBA Academy Zhejiang.

This planned tour follows a significant offseason for the Clippers, who acquired Bradley Beal, Brook Lopez, and Chris Paul (in a reserve role). The team's bolstered roster, featuring players like James Harden and Leonard, has resulted in DraftKings listing them at +1200 to win the Western Conference and +2200 to win the NBA Finals.

Leonard is coming off a season where he was named an All-Star and selected to the All-NBA Second Team for the first time since 2021, marking his sixth career selection to an All-NBA team. He is preparing for his sixth season with the Clippers and his 14th overall in the NBA.
