The New York Knicks are actively pursuing a veteran player to sign to a minimum contract, aiming to finalize their active roster for the 2025-26 season. While they have been connected to notable names like Ben Simmons and Russell Westbrook, alternative targets are under consideration, with Seth Curry emerging as a viable option according to analysis by James L. Edwards III of The Athletic.

Seth Curry, an 11-season NBA veteran and brother of Stephen Curry, is highlighted for his exceptional three-point shooting accuracy. He led the league last season with a 45.6% success rate from beyond the arc, albeit on limited attempts, and has consistently maintained high efficiency, shooting below 40% only once in the past seven seasons. His most recent team was the Charlotte Hornets, where he averaged 6.5 points per game.

Although Curry's primary contribution is shooting, his skill set is viewed as a valuable luxury for team depth, particularly in the backcourt. Under new head coach Mike Brown, who favors systems with abundant shooters, Curry could earn meaningful playing time. The Knicks have already bolstered their long-range scoring this offseason by adding Jordan Clarkson and Guerschon Yabusele, both above-average perimeter threats.

As training camp approaches and market options potentially diminish, the Knicks may shift focus toward securing an affordable deal for Curry to enhance their roster composition and shooting versatility.
