Kyrie Irving remembers scoring explosion of Luka Doncic against teammate

Kyrie Irving shared a memorable experience from practicing with Luka Dončić during their time as teammates on the Dallas Mavericks. Irving recalled witnessing Dončić score 24 points against a teammate in just three minutes during a practice session.

The incident involved Grant Williams, who played for the Mavericks at the start of the 2023-24 season. According to Mavericks assistant general manager Michael Finley, Williams attempted to provoke Dončić during a scrimmage, believing Dončić wasn't prepared for practice. Dončić responded by personally going on a 26-6 scoring run against Williams.

Finley's account of the event was confirmed by other members of the Mavericks' front office, players, and now Kyrie Irving.
