Leeds United has reached a complete agreement with Lyon for the transfer of Brazilian international goalkeeper Lucas Perri (27), as reported by RMC Sport's Fabrice Hawkins.
Perri is described as one of Ligue 1's most reliable goalkeepers last season. His strong performances, coupled with Lyon's difficult financial situation, made him an attractive target for European clubs during the summer transfer window.
The goalkeeper had attracted interest from AS Monaco, who considered several targets including David de Gea, and from Neom SC. Leeds monitored Perri as they sought to upgrade their goalkeeping position, with French keeper Ilan Meslier facing scrutiny following error-prone performances last season.
Perri will depart Lyon's pre-season tour in Germany to travel to England for a medical with Leeds. The transfer fee agreed upon between the clubs is reported to be €15 million.
