Bayern Munich have resumed contact with Liverpool regarding a potential transfer for winger Luis Diaz. This follows their previous £58.5m bid, which Liverpool rejected earlier in July. Despite Liverpool's firm stance that Diaz is not for sale, Bayern are persistently pursuing the player.
Currently, the discussions between the two clubs are described as dialogue, with no new formal offer submitted by Bayern Munich yet. Liverpool maintain that Diaz is a crucial player for both the upcoming season and the remaining two years of his contract at Anfield, a position they have communicated to all interested clubs, including Barcelona.
Liverpool internally value Luis Diaz at more than £86m (€100m+) and have not set an asking price because they have no intention of selling him. Bayern Munich, however, believe Diaz wants to join their club. Interest in Diaz has also come from clubs in Saudi Arabia, a market which recently valued the older Bruno Fernandes at a similar figure (£86.8m/€100m).
