Tottenham Hotspur played out a goalless draw against League One side Luton Town in a pre-season friendly on July 26, 2025. Manager Thomas Frank fielded a strong lineup including new £55m signing Mohammed Kudus, Brennan Johnson, Yves Bissouma, and Micky van de Ven. Despite their pedigree, Spurs were outplayed by the sharper Luton outfit, who begin their competitive season shortly.
The match saw Tottenham produce only two shots: a blocked attempt by Kudus and a close-range effort from Johnson well saved by Luton goalkeeper Josh Keeley. In contrast, Luton created better chances, forcing saves from Spurs' first-choice keeper Guglielmo Vicario against Millenic Alli before Shandon Baptiste headed over from the resulting corner.
After halftime substitutions, backup keeper Antonin Kinsky denied goalbound efforts from Alli and Nakhi Wells as Spurs continued to struggle creatively. With ten minutes remaining, Frank replaced senior players with youngsters, including substitute Will Lankshear who missed a late chance. This was Tottenham's second friendly of the day following a morning 2-2 draw against Wycombe.
