Lynx’s Napheesa Collier makes incredibly rare WNBA feat amid loss to Dream

The Minnesota Lynx ended their four-game win streak with a 90-86 loss to the Atlanta Dream at Target Center on Sunday. Prior to this defeat, the Lynx had dominated the Las Vegas Aces 109-78 at home.

Despite the loss, Napheesa Collier delivered an exceptional performance, leading all scorers with 32 points on 14-for-18 shooting, along with eight rebounds, seven assists, four steals, and two blocks in 37 minutes. According to StatMuse, Collier achieved a rare WNBA feat by becoming the only player in league history to record multiple games in a single season with at least 30 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks. She previously accomplished this against the Los Angeles Sparks on June 14 (32 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two steals, two blocks) and the Connecticut Sun on May 23 (33 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, three steals, three blocks).

The Dream secured the victory through balanced scoring, with Brittney Griner leading the team at 22 points, four rebounds, and three assists, Jordin Canada adding 18 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals, and bench players Allisha Gray and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough each contributing 12 points. Atlanta improved to a 15-10 record with the win.

Minnesota dropped to 22-5 but remains the WNBA's top team, holding a 3.5-game lead over the second-place New York Liberty (17-7). The Lynx will conclude their five-game homestand by hosting New York on Wednesday.
