Mikel Arteta has now come up with a new training drill at Arsenal, Bukayo Saka will absolutely love it

Mikel Arteta employs innovative methods to engage Arsenal players during training, such as playing Liverpool's anthem before facing them, sharing personal stories through cartoons, and previously hiring a pickpocket to improve alertness.

During pre-season training in Singapore, a new drill was observed where players work in pairs. They are shown a sheet of paper displaying the club badges representing a specific teammate's career path (e.g., Kepa Arrizabalaga's path: Athletic Club, Real Valladolid, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bournemouth, Arsenal). The competing pair must identify which teammate's career is depicted before proceeding to a passing task.

This drill serves to keep players mentally focused while fostering better understanding of teammates' professional backgrounds. Although career path quizzes aren't new, this marks the first time such an activity has been integrated into an Arsenal training session.

The exercise is particularly beneficial for Bukayo Saka, who has demonstrated exceptional skill in similar quizzes. He previously dominated teammate Kai Havertz in an Arsenal-themed career path challenge for ESPN. Saka's affinity for such mental games suggests he would excel if they become a regular part of training.
