Nabers says $10K OROY bet with Daniels called off

New York Giants receiver Malik Nabers and Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels have canceled their $10,000 wager regarding the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Nabers stated he called off the bet after receiving education about the NFL's gambling policy, according to an ESPN report.

The bet was initially revealed by Nabers during an appearance on "The Pivot" podcast. Daniels later commented on "All Facts No Brakes" podcast that Nabers "wasn't supposed to tell nobody" about their private agreement.

The NFL's 2022 gambling policy explicitly prohibited private wagers between individuals like teammates or friends, but the 2023 version reportedly lacks such specific restrictions according to Washington Post analysis. The league office did not respond to inquiries about whether this bet violated current policy.

Both players were top selections in the recent NFL draft, with Daniels chosen second overall by Washington and Nabers selected sixth by New York.
