Mix Dojo is a new standalone application developed by Sifu Audio, designed to help users visually and audibly compare their mixes against reference tracks. According to Jim Heintz, Sifu Audio CTO and Co-Founder, the app demystifies the mixing process.
The app provides intuitive tools allowing users to adjust levels of drums, vocals, and other elements to match their chosen reference track. It caters to learners and experienced audio engineers alike, helping bedroom producers, indie artists, engineers, and content creators improve their mixes. Mix Dojo offers real-time, visual mix feedback, including instant insight into LUFS volume levels and balance. Users can simply drag and drop their song and a reference track to see and edit levels of crucial elements like vocals, bass, and drums to align with the reference.
Mix Dojo is available now for Mac and Windows via the Sifu Audio website. The normal price is $100 USD, but it's currently offered at an introductory price of $50 using discount code INTRO50. Subscription options are also available for $15/month, and a free trial is offered.
Sifu Audio, the company behind Mix Dojo, is a collaboration between music software architect Jim Heintz and audio engineer/producer/educator Jay Reilly. The app was created based on Heintz's technical expertise and Reilly's experience in helping independent artists learn mixing, aiming to meet the demands of faster mix delivery times, quality standards, and evolving genres.
