New York Knicks Guard Opens Up About New Teammates

The New York Knicks have bolstered their bench for the upcoming season by signing free agents Guerschon Yabusele (from the Philadelphia 76ers) and Jordan Clarkson (from the Utah Jazz). These additions join existing second-unit players Mitchell Robinson and Miles McBride.

Miles McBride expressed enthusiasm about the new bench players to SNY. He highlighted Jordan Clarkson's veteran experience, proven ability to fill the stat sheet, and high-level scoring. McBride also praised Yabusele, referencing his strong Olympic performance and momentum carried into last season. McBride believes the team will play fast, utilize a deep rotation of different players, and emphasized that everyone on the team is capable of contributing, drawing a comparison to the depth seen in the NBA Finals teams (Oklahoma City and Indiana).

The combination of Yabusele, Clarkson, McBride, and Robinson is expected to give the Knicks a full nine-man rotation when healthy. This improved depth is seen as crucial not only for the playoffs but also for preserving players' energy throughout the regular season. This addresses a significant weakness from last season when the Knicks were considered one of the league's more shallow teams in terms of depth.

The Knicks will return to their practice facility for training camp later this fall.
