Newcastle United Women: Aoife Mannion, Jordan Nobbs and Ffion Morgan set to join

Newcastle United are set to sign Aoife Mannion, Jordan Nobbs, and Ffion Morgan on permanent deals for their WSL 2 team this summer.

Aoife Mannion, the 29-year-old Republic of Ireland defender, brings significant experience after leaving Manchester United upon the expiration of her contract in June.

Creative midfielder Jordan Nobbs, 32, joins Newcastle after spending time with Aston Villa and 13 years at Arsenal. With 71 caps for England, she is considered a valuable addition.

Wales international Ffion Morgan, 25, who has spent the last four years at Bristol City and is currently competing at Euro 2025, is also joining the club.

These signings demonstrate Newcastle's ambition in the transfer window as they push for promotion to the Women's Super League. The club is also adding more staff members, including a new head of performance, indicating further investment in their women's side.

Last season, following promotion from the third tier, Newcastle finished fifth in the WSL 2.
