Nike Kobe 4 ‘FC Barcelona’ official release details

Nike is releasing a Nike Kobe 4 Protro "FC Barcelona" sneaker to honor the late Kobe Bryant's well-documented fandom for the soccer club, coinciding with FC Barcelona's upcoming third kit debut. The release continues Bryant's tradition of matching his signature sneakers with Barcelona's colors, reflecting his lifelong affinity for soccer cultivated during his youth in Europe and his friendship with former player Ronaldinho through Nike.

The Kobe 4 Protro features a design mirroring Barcelona's new third kit, using beige and purple hues described as "Team Gold/Black-Persian Violet." Key design elements include pale gold uppers with snakeskin texturing on the toe and ankle collar, a black Swoosh with violet outlining, and a violet-to-gold gradient midsole. Bryant's signature appears on the heel cap alongside embossed "8" and "24" numbers, with violet Mamba logos on the tongues and FC Barcelona branding on the lacelock, insole, and tongue back.

This sneaker will launch alongside a Nike Kobe x FC Barcelona collection, including an Air Force 1 Low and matching apparel. Priced at $190, the Kobe 4 Protro is expected to release in Fall 2025, with July 31, 2025, cited as a potential drop date. It will be available via Nike SNKRS and select Nike platforms, marking Nike's latest tribute following their 2011 FC Barcelona-themed Kobe 6 release.
