England forward Nikita Parris has joined newly promoted London City Lionesses on a free transfer from Brighton, signing a two-year contract with the club.
Parris, who was part of the England squad that won the European Championship in 2022, helped Brighton achieve their best-ever Women's Super League finish last season by securing fifth place.
Expressing enthusiasm for the move, Parris stated, "It's a very ambitious project," and added that she is looking forward to meeting the team and starting.
Prior to Brighton, Parris played for clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Lyon, winning the Champions League with Lyon.
Her transfer follows the expiration of her contract with Brighton on 22 July.
London City Lionesses' director of football Ronald Thompson highlighted Parris' top-level experience and winning mentality, noting she will be a role model for younger players.
The London club will begin their Women's Super League campaign against Arsenal on 6 September.
