The Phoenix Suns have officially signed former EuroLeague standout Nigel Hayes-Davis to a guaranteed one-year contract. Reports of the deal first emerged when NBA free agency opened on June 30, and the team confirmed the signing in a news release on July 25, though specific contract terms were not disclosed.
Hayes-Davis, a 30-year-old, 6-foot-8, 235-pound forward, earned All-EuroLeague First Team honors in each of the last two seasons while playing for Fenerbahce Istanbul. He was named EuroLeague Final Four MVP this past season after leading Fenerbahce to the EuroLeague championship. In the 2023-24 EuroLeague regular season, he averaged 16.7 points per game on 45.6% shooting from the field and 41.0% from three-point range, along with 5.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals over 39 games. Fenerbahce also secured the Turkish League and Turkish Cup titles in 2024 and 2025.
Hayes-Davis played college basketball at Wisconsin, where he helped the team reach the Sweet 16 in both 2016 and 2017 and was an All-Big Ten First Team selection in 2016. After going undrafted, he joined the New York Knicks' summer league team in 2017 and later played for G League affiliates and NBA teams, including the Sacramento Kings, earning a spot on the NBA G League All-Rookie Team in 2018. He has spent the last seven seasons overseas and holds the EuroLeague record for most points in a single game with 50, achieved on March 29, 2024, against Alba Berlin.
